Situation

US data analytics software and services provider purchased a Danish software company. Part of the purchase was non-cash commitment to supply initial US office space, loaned pre-incorporate key personnel and preferential pricing of sold/installed software. 

Task

Establish legal entity, product and service offerings, brand and marketing while seeking ‘first client’. 

Action

Joined experienced US operations, sales and marketing executives with the blended Board of Directors and Danish CEO into a start-up team. Pursed the consulting path to ‘deep analytics’ (e.g. Big Data, Deep Data) revenue. 

Result

Initial engagement was data program management for the largest poll of human opinion, ever. The ‘branding’ from the event engendered first year revenue of $27M.
